Foxhunting
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. was founded in 1954 by a group of foxhunters. A happy child on a happy pony (or horse) is the goal of Pony Club, and the hunt field is a great place to find many of these pairs!
Foxhunting is a mounted sport that dates back hundreds of years. Mounted riders chase wild game with a pack of hounds across the countryside. Riders navigate through open terrain, across creeks and streams, over logs and other natural obstacles, and even through woods and thickets. Foxhunting can be enjoyed by all ages and levels of riding.

In Minnesota, The Long Lake Hounds conducts a drag hunt and welcome Pony Club Riders with open arms. They conduct a Beginner's Clinic every Spring, welcome new and experienced to walk hounds, and are generally interested in encouraging new people to join them on the hunt.
